Balancing Wait

Looking around I see signs.                                                                                             Of coming days, soon to be times.

We never know for sure, of course.                                                                                 Seeing the best, ignoring the worst.

A waste of time, other "things" to do.                                                                                 Or so I'm told by one who "scolds".

My thoughts are built not thrown away.                                                                         The cost is high tomorrow -- and today.

Run your own life, not mine.                                                                                     Prepare for your own "time".

We walk and run each day.                                                                                         Always looking to see "the way".

Pulled here and there as we walk or run.                                                                 Hoping to push aside darkness for Sun.

We're running and we reach.                                                                                             Where we fail is how we teach.

What are you doing to talk and share?                                                                               To live and learn, to show and care?

Silence is Golden,                                                                                                               Speech is Silver -- or so "they" say.

Others opinions should have weight.                                                                                 Just never use the scale of hate.
