Sustainability of you and me, We support the times that be.
We’re not built to live on a shelf.
That’s not how we refer to “our“ self.
Days are numbered, that is true.
Each “person” is a “separate YOU”.
Dig deep and you will find how we,
Stepped up creating real humanity.
Sure, we have fought and worse,
Annihilation is not the course.
A few see dollar signs and collapse.
The weight of greed always running past.
Our ancestor’s fought to win their Space.
Today they jump onboard to enter the race.
Some believe there’s “life out there”.
There can also be higher strife to bear.
In my lifetime I’ve seen us go into Space.
Still not ready for the Human Race.
So if in ten, fifteen, or twenty years.
We build replacements, we go with tears.
There’s more out there we’ll need to “burn”.
Many more life lessons for us to learn.
