We're born; we cry and then we "speak".
In School we're told to raise our hand. Speaking out is only when we stand.
Soon silence is valued more than talk. It's like when we first learned how to walk
We put one foot before the other. Holding a hand of older sister or brother.
Then we sit and stay. While others lead the way.
Get ahead we're told. Run the race and win.
Is it worth the time we spend Where will we eventually end?
